Beginners Class

Led by guiding teacher Victor Byrd

What is meditation? What happens when the bell rings and we close our eyes? Have you wondered if you can learn to meditate too? This monthly class is an opportunity for newcomers to give it a try. Everyone is welcome including more seasoned practitioners who might need to jump start their practice.

In the Beginner’s Class we discuss the fundamentals of Vipassana meditation, our core practice, as well as other sitting traditions and techniques. Our teacher gives an introductory overview of meditation, leads the class in a twenty minute sit and concludes with a question and discussion period.
