Dharma Study and Sit with Guiding Teacher, Victor Byrd

PROGRAM NOTE: This class continues while our guiding teacher, Victor Byrd, is away on his own retreat in Nepal, beginning Wednesday, January 13, 2010. In addition to the evening sitting practice, we will study Victor's online book, "The Bare Bones of the Buddha's Teaching." Victor returns Wednesday, March 24, 2010.

We meet at Allison's house in Long Beach every Wednesday evening, from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. Victor leads a 45 minute sit and 45 minute study and discussion period. Every two months, we read and discuss a seminal book on the Buddha-dharma.

Everyone who is interested in deepening their understanding of the Buddha-dharma is welcome to attend. Please bring your own sitting gear. Chairs are also available.

A word about dana (donation): The dharma is priceless, so we can’t put a monetary value on the teaching. There is no fee for this study group, but dana is gratefully accepted in support of the teacher and LBM.
